1) Turn the fireplace switch off.
2) Pull the hinged gate open at the bottom of your fireplace.
3) Turn your gas valve (yellow handle) to this position. When the gas valve is on it will be parallel to the gas line.
4) Turn the gas valve to “Pilot” as indicted by the sometimes faded arrow.
5) Push the button in and hold. Gas will now flow through the valve.
6) Press the igniter button. You will hear a sharp “click” sound. You may have to press this button many times as the gas takes awhile to flow to the pilot light. Remember to keep the pilot valve pushed in.
7) Once the pilot flame is lit keep holding the pilot button pressed in for about 30 seconds. Release, and the flame should stay lit. If it doesn’t stay lit repeat the previous steps but keep the pilot valve pressed in longer.
8) With the pilot valve released and the pilot flame burning turn the valve knob to the “On” position.
9) Adjust the height of the flames (and temperature) with the Hi/Lo knob.
10) Turn the fireplace switch on. It may take a few minutes before the flames light up the log.
